About the Wi-Fi QR Generator

The Wi-Fi QR Generator turns your network name and password into a scannable QR code. Guests open their camera, point at the code, and join your Wi-Fi without ever typing the password — useful for cafés, Airbnbs, offices, or just keeping a sticker on the fridge for visitors.

The QR code is built entirely in your browser using the standard ZXing Wi-Fi payload format. Your SSID and password are never sent to a server — they only exist on this page.

What you can control

• Network name (SSID) and security type (WPA/WPA2/WPA3, WEP, or open)
• Password with a show/hide toggle and a hidden-network flag
• QR size from 160 px up to 640 px for print or screen
• Optional label printed under the QR (e.g. "Scan to join HomeWiFi")
• Download as PNG, print directly, or copy the raw Wi-Fi payload string

Tips

• Use a larger QR size (400 px+) when printing on small cards
• Add a label so people know which network the code is for
• Keep the printed copy somewhere visible — but treat it like a key, not public info
• For a separate guest network, generate a second QR with that SSID and password

If you rotate your Wi-Fi password regularly (a good habit), reprint the QR each time so the sticker on your fridge stays in sync with the router.
