About the Business Card Designer

The Business Card Designer is a browser-based card builder for freelancers, consultants, small teams, and anyone who needs a professional-looking card without firing up Illustrator. Pick a template, plug in your details, drop in a headshot, logo, and signature, and export a print-ready PDF (single card or a 10-up sheet), a high-resolution PNG, or a vCard your contacts can save straight to their phone.

What you can control

Move anything, break nothing

Templates usually force a choice: take the designer's arrangement or start from an empty rectangle. Here the template is only the opening position. Click any element on the card and drag it where you want it. Text, headshot, logos, signature and the QR code all move, and each side of the card keeps its own arrangement. Elements snap to the center line and the print margins as you pass them, with a guide showing why they stopped, and holding alt turns snapping off for fine work. Arrow keys nudge by one unit and shift plus arrow moves by ten. Anything can be hidden and brought back later, nothing is ever destroyed, and Reset layout returns the whole card to the template's original design. Undo and redo cover every move.

Common uses

Tips

Everything runs locally in your browser. Your photo, signature, and contact details never leave your device until you choose to save or share the output file.

Common questions

How do I design a business card for free?

Pick one of twelve templates, add your details, logo, and headshot, choose from 26 color themes, and export a print-ready file. No account, no watermark, and nothing pushing you toward a paid tier at the download button.

Can I put a QR code on my business card?

Yes, and it is the modern move: the optional QR code opens your website or saves your full contact card to the scanner's phone. The code is generated with the card, sized and placed to scan reliably from print.

Can I print these cards at home or at a print shop?

Both. The export is a clean, print-ready file at standard business card dimensions that any print shop accepts, and home printing works on perforated card stock.

Can I save more than one card design?

Yes. Keep multiple designs for the different hats you wear, and with the optional Premium sync your saved cards follow you across devices.

What makes a business card design look professional?

Restraint: one or two typefaces, a consistent color theme, generous spacing, and only the contact details people actually use. The templates enforce those rules so the result reads as designed rather than assembled.

Can I move things around on the business card?

Yes. Every element on the card can be dragged to wherever you want it, on both the front and the back. Select something and you can resize it, send it behind or in front of other elements, hide it, or reset it to where the template put it. Elements snap to the center and to the print margins, arrow keys nudge, and undo covers everything, so it is safe to experiment.

Can I put more than one logo on a business card?

Yes. Add as many logos as you need and place each one independently. This is the normal case for partnership cards, franchise cards, and anyone who has to show a certification or accreditation mark alongside their own brand.
